DDF Dramatic Radiance TRF Cream

DDF Dramatic Radiance TRF Cream is a combination of commonly used, minimally expensive, and modestly effective skin care ingredients packaged together for sale at a relatively high price. It contains mostly water, and also emollients, silicones, shea butter, thickeners, preservatives, and glycerin.

Advertising claims the product “changes the way the skin uses oxygen” to achieve “youthful suppleness and elasticity.” Nothing in the product actually changes how the skin uses oxygen, and that’s a good thing. Using less oxygen would result in skin cell death, and using more oxygen would result in free radical damage.

A lower-cost DDF product that actually enhances skin moisture, and is available at a much lower cost, is DDF Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer SPF 15. A formulation very similar to Olay’s Definity brand (Olay also owns the company that makes DDF), Protect and Correct UV Moisturizer provides niacinamide in concentrations high enough to lighten age spots, and a mineral called mica to leave a soft shimmer on the skin that can look, as the advertising says, “translucent” on the skin. Protect and Correct is for dry to normal skin.
