Olay Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming Moisturizer
Olay’s Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming Moisturizer is pressurized with isobutene and propane gas (yes, the same propane gas you might use to fuel a gas grill or a home furnace), which cause the product foam into a consistency resembling shaving cream.
The novelty formulation of the product gives it a very light texture, and “stirs up” the water, aloe, silicone, glycerin, niacinamide, acetyl glucosamine, and fragrances so that they reach the entire surface of the skin. The product will cause age spots to slowly fade, and it contains a variety of ingredients to minimize skin irritation. It also contains mineral pigments that give the skin a glowing appearance, but since it is used a night cream, their value is dubious.
Definity Deep Penetrating Foaming UV Moisturizer – Fragrance Free also has a unique, foamy texture, but the foam actually makes the avobenzone needed for UV-A protection less stable on the skin. Like other Definity products, it contains mineral pigments that lend a glow to the skin, but this cosmetic effect lasts only as long as you continue to use the product. This formula is best for normal to dry skin.
Definity Intense Hydrating Cream is like the other Definity products, only without the propellant to create foam. The chief beneficial ingredient in this product is niacinamide, which lightens sun-darkened skin.
