It contains salicylic acid in a very low concentration that enables the lotion to protect against age spots and freckles, but that is not so strong that it might cause peeling. Its primary sun-protective ingredient is avobenzone. This skincare ingredient protects the skin from the more damaging UV-A rays, but not from UV-B rays.
The main problem with this product is the inclusion of citral, geraniol, linalool, and limonene fragrances. They can cause allergies in people who are allergic to citrus or geraniums, and they can cause irritation to sensitive skin.
